Guru Ram Rai Gurudwara: Dehradun the capital of Uttarakhand has been named after the Dera or the camp that Guru Ram Rai put when he arrived hear in 1675 and settled in village Dhamawala. The Guru Ram Rai Gurudwara was built in 1669 as a mark of this settlement.

Jhanda Mela: Jhanda Mela started as a celebration of his arrival and settlement in Dehradun in 1675. Jhanda Mela is celebrated on the fifth day of Chaitra which is also the fifth day after Holi.
